Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about Frejma and your frames.

About the product

Which frames do you offer?

We offer handmade frames in a range of profiles and materials — from slim, simple mouldings in birch veneer to deeper profiled frames in walnut and oak veneer. We also offer steel frames for a more industrial aesthetic.

What does a frame cost?

The price depends on size, material and options. You see exactly what it costs in real time in the tool — from 399 kr for a standard size. Shipping is added at checkout.

What sizes can I order?

You can order completely custom sizes in the tool — enter your measurements in centimetres to one decimal place and we calculate the price and production time. We manufacture in steps of one millimetre. We also offer all the usual standard sizes (A4, A3, A2, 30×40, 50×70 and more) if you prefer a ready-made format.

What is a mat, and do I need one?

A mat (passepartout) is a board placed between the glass and the picture. It gives the image room to breathe, draws attention to the motif and keeps the picture from touching the glass. It is an aesthetic choice — the tool helps you decide.

Which glass do you recommend?

We offer two types of glass: standard glass and UV-protective museum glass. Museum glass is non-reflective and protects the picture from fading in sunlight.

Ordering & delivery

How long is the delivery time?

Normally 8–10 business days from order. Every frame is made by hand after you order — we value quality over speed. You get a shipping email with a tracking number once the frame is on its way.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver within Sweden. Nordic expansion is planned further ahead — register your interest at hej@frejma.se and we will get in touch when the time comes.

What do I do if the frame arrives damaged?

Contact us as soon as you discover the damage — preferably within a few days, so we can follow up with the carrier while the trail is fresh. Attach a photo of the damage and the packaging and we will sort it out quickly: you get a new frame at no cost.

All frames are covered by our 3-year warranty, and you always have your statutory 3-year right to claim. The warranty does not limit your rights under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.

Can I return my frame?

Because every frame is made specifically for your order, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns on custom sizes. That said, you are always welcome to contact us if you are not happy for any reason — we always find a solution.

Create your frame

How does the tool work?

Click "Create your frame" to open our interactive tool. There you choose size, frame type, glass and mat — and see immediately how it looks and what it costs. When you are happy, you add the frame to your cart straight from the tool.

Can I upload my own picture in the tool?

Yes! You can upload a photo to see how it looks framed with your chosen settings. It is one of our most popular features — it makes the decision easy.

Are my settings saved in the tool?

Your chosen frame is saved in your browser for the session. If you want to keep it for later you can share the link, or add it to your cart and complete the purchase when you are ready.

Will the finished frame look exactly like the 3D view?

The 3D view is a preview that helps you choose the right frame, size and mat. It gives a realistic picture of proportions, format and colour tones — but every frame is made by hand, and natural materials such as veneer vary in grain and shade. Small differences in fine detail, light and colour can therefore occur between the visualisation and the finished frame. It is part of what makes every frame unique.
